Chandra Kamal Bezbaruah College,Teok, situated at Jogduar, Teok a premiere institute of higher education , serving a great number of students and the public belonging to a large hinterland of Jorhat, Sivasagar and Majuli districts ranging the area from the foothills of Naga Hills to Jhanjimukh and from Jhanji to Kakojan by disseminating the light of knowledge among them. Established in the year 1959, the college bears a great heritage of academic environment with its experience of long 62 years. The college boastfully acknowledges the toil and perspiration of a few visionary educationists of the locality and the benevolence and philanthropy of the renowned family of the great soul, Tea Planter Nil Kamal Bezbaruah that made it possible to realize its being. From the day of its foundation, the college has been proved to be reliable destination of Higher Education of the state for many students. The College was assessed and re- accredited by NAAC in 2015 (B Grade with 2.59 points). The college has been able to attract a large number of students of the state by now.
The college pays much attention to provide utmost facilities and avenues to students enabling them to fruitfully pursue B.A. and B.Com Degree Courses under Dibrugarh University and Higher Secondary Courses in Arts and Commerce under Assam Higher Secondary Education Council. Moreover, keeping a view to make the students well skilled, the college introduced a number of Vocational Courses over the years. The college aims to make all round development of its students by encouraging and organizing different co-curricular activities like games and sports, cultural performance, fine arts etc. Equally, the College has performed significant numbers of community development programmes.
