Scholarships
The State Government and the Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC/ST/OBC
Students’ Welfare Fund (SWF) formed by the contribution of the teachers gives financial assistance to the needy and meritorious students. The Students’ Aid Fund (SAF) of the college also helps the needy students. Provision for financial help from UGC Fund to students below poverty line, minorities and physically challenged students.
Remedial Classes
Remedial classes for the disadvantaged students are organized by the college. The advanced learners are provided with special counselling for further improvement.
There is a provision for special classes for weak students. All these classes do not involve the payment of fees.
Special Privilege for Tea Tribe Students
To make higher education affordable for tea tribe students, meritorious and very poor tea tribe students are admitted to the college without the payment of fees.
Library Facility
The Central Library of the college has about 15,000 books. About 1,540 text books are exclusively reserved in the Book Bank for economically poor students which they can borrow with the provision to return after the final examination. The Departmental Libraries of the college also help the students by lending reference books.
Internet Facility
The college has Internet facility. In addition, the college also has two Television sets with VCR and an Over Head Projector.
Photocopier Facility
Photocopier facilities are available in the college at a concessional rate for the students, teachers and the employees.
Canteen
The College canteen provides Rice, Roti, Dal, Snacks and other eatables to the students at a subsidized rate. Pure drinking water is available in the college.
Student Day Home
There are provisions for indoor games and other recreational facilities in the Student Day Home for both girls and boys.
Separate Boys’ and Girls’ Common Room
There are provisions for separate boys’ and girls’ common room.
Hostel Accommodation
The college provides accommodation to 50 girl students and 10 boys in the Seperate Hostels. Intending students may apply in separate application form to the Principal for hostel accommodation.
Identity Card
Every student must obtain Identity Card and College Emblem and must
possess the same while at college
